It’s time to begin again.
After walking out of my corporate job (literally singing “This Girl is on Fire” at the top of my lungs on my way out the door) I am facing the reality of a new beginning. So it’s time to use that same fire to ignite my little corner of the internet. This is not a journey I am taking alone, so feel free to hop on board with my 5 readers and watch this as it unfolds. Hopefully at some point I will be able to finally decide what I want to be when I grow up. With half a century under my belt already, I sure hope we can get this dialed in sooner rather than later.
To get this party started, I have come up with a few things to focus on:
- Personal Wellness: When I found myself on the other side of that door in November, I realized that I had let my personal wellness take a backseat to my all important job. No More! I just finished my first day of 80 day obsession (yes, that means I have 79 days to go) after six weeks of focused attention to my fitness and clean(er) eating. To attempt to rebalance my emotional psyche, I think I watched every available Hallmark Movie, and I hit my “Read 100 books in 2018” goal on December 30. It’s about to get real good on the wellness scale.
- Professional Path: I have decided to focus my professional efforts on creative consulting and pour my creative {h}art and soul into juxtaposing discards into desirables by repurposing second hand cast offs into fresh and unique products. Throw in some fun products for babies and kids (thanks to my adorable grands) and it looks like my creative muscles will finally get back in shape.
- Unique Style: I think there were a couple of people who enjoyed the styling videos that were produced through my previous job. You will be pleased to hear that I intend to continue those and offering them here. I love sharing my finds and my eclectic fashion alchemy and I look forward to building that venue in new ways. So to my 5 readers — be sure to let me know what you want to see in future videos.
So — here we go.
I’ve got a fresh shave, and a furry friend (Say Hi to Quincy). Be sure to pop in to see what’s happening — because this fire is just getting started! (cue the music)
