An open letter to my dedicated 5 readers.
Dear Readers, To thank you for your diligence in checking in on this lonely little blog, I will be offering a little something – something every day from now until the end of the year. As my world is a constant flurry of chaos and creativity, I will be extending a little taste of this rollercoaster I’m on in the way of tips and tutorials to help bring a little fun and festivity into your holidays! Enjoy!! (and if you have any special requests, please let me know–I would be happy to help out with your creative projects.)
Holiday Holla #1
Some of the patterns in my arsenal are ancient (literally) and I still use them.
Unfortunately the envelopes do not always remain in tact, so for today’s holla, I am shouting out to my Purple Cows laminator.
Some envelopes need to have some paper added to piece together torn edges before laminating. This is important because you need to have a flap at the top that extends (like a regular, untorn envelope).
Place the envelope in a Hot Pocket and send it thru the hot laminator. (Remove the pattern and instructions first!!!)
Now you need to make a slit in the lamination at the opening edge of the envelope. I use a pin for this, lightly scoring across the fold, then piercing one side and sliding the pin along the scored line.
Now you can return your pattern to it’s new, improved envelope.
This is also a fabulous fix for manilla envelopes, and file folders!!!!!
(Yes, I have prisms hanging in my windows, ala’ Pollyanna!)
Tune in tomorrow for Holiday Holla #2.
