Happy New Year!!!!

B*rod – (entering room and looking closely at the wedding gown hanging behind me)  “Mom, that wedding dress is beautiful–with all the lace and beads and tiny little stitches its’. . . um. . . it’s . . . (now looking thoughtfully at the ceiling and tapping his chin) um . . .  it’s on the tip of my tongue . . um. . . it’s um . . . . .Bizarre. (looks at me )”


Me – “Wow, B*rod, that’s one way to describe it.”  


B*Rod – (looking back at the dress, wistfully)“All those little details, I hope my wife wears a dress like that.


Me – “Well, maybe I will make your wife’s wedding dress. . . “


B*Rod – (pensively) “Won’t you be, um . . . old?  I mean, will you still be able to . . . um. . . see?”


Me – “I won’t be that old, I’m sure I will still be able to see.”


B*Rod – (still thinking) “I want to move here after I get married.  Will you and dad still live here?”


Me – “Maybe.”


B*Rod – “Well then my wife and I will move here after we get married.  I can stay in my room and she can move in downstairs. . . . (considerable thinking) or, um. . . . maybe we’ll sleep in the girls’ room downstairs. . . . –I can sleep in Celery’s bed and my wife can sleep in Zip’s bed, . . . . . . . . (with greater excitement) then we can save up for a QUEEN!”


Me – “Wow, Brody, that’s some plan.”


B*Rod – “Yeah, now can I play with your iphone?”




I wonder if he figures he can still play apps on my phone after he’s married too?
